Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Granviex, LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as NatBuddy ("NatBuddy," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the NatBuddy iOS app and the natbuddy.com website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate. If you use the Service on behalf of a household, you are responsible for the activity under your account.
2. The Service and its informational nature
NatBuddy is an informational and educational app for dog owners. It provides a curated library of recipes you browse and choose from — it is not a meal plan or a feeding schedule, and it does not decide what to feed your dog for you. The nutrition counter is retrospective: you add what was actually fed to your log. Portions are formula-based estimates from the profile you enter. The Charlie companion, the photo health scan, and the product scanner are informational and are not veterinary advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional veterinary care. See our Veterinary Disclaimer. You are responsible for decisions you make about your dog, and you should consult your veterinarian.
3. Accounts and deletion
To use most features you create an account with your email. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the app; doing so removes your associated personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. AI features and acceptable use
NatBuddy's AI features are opt-in and governed additionally by our AI Privacy Notice. AI responses and scan results can be incorrect and are informational only. You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to: misuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to circumvent the Service or its rate limits; submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content; use the Service to provide veterinary, medical, or professional advice to others; or rely on it in an emergency. For emergencies, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital.
5. Subscriptions, pricing, trial, and auto-renewal
NatBuddy offers an optional auto-renewing subscription called NatBuddy Pro, available in Weekly and Yearly periods. The price for each period is shown in the App Store and at checkout in the app before you purchase, in your local currency. NatBuddy Pro unlocks the full NatBuddy experience, including ongoing access to the premium features of the recipe library, nutrition counter, photo health scans, product scanner, and the Charlie AI companion.
New subscribers may be offered a 3-day free trial. If you start a trial, you will not be charged during the trial period; billing begins when the 3-day free trial ends, unless you cancel before then. After any trial, and at the end of each subscription period, your subscription automatically renews at the price stated for the selected period and is charged to your Apple ID account, until you cancel.
To cancel, turn off auto-renew in your Apple ID subscription settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Managing and cancelling subscriptions is handled through your Apple ID settings; NatBuddy cannot cancel a subscription for you. You can review the terms that apply to your purchase in our Privacy Policy and in these Terms of Service.
6. Cancellation, refunds, and price changes
Because subscriptions are purchased through the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies; NatBuddy does not process refunds directly. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period. If we change the price of a subscription, the change applies to future renewals and you will be notified and given the opportunity to review or cancel as required by the App Store; continued renewal after a price change means you accept the new price.
7. Intellectual property and your content
The Service, including the NatBuddy name, the Charlie mascot, the recipe library, software, design, and other materials, is owned by Granviex, LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial use. You retain ownership of the content you create or enter, such as your pet profiles, logs, photos, and messages; you grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate, that portion estimates, scan results, scanner guidance, or AI responses will be correct or suitable for your dog, or that third-party product data will be complete or current. The Service is not veterinary care and does not replace your veterinarian.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GRANVIEX, LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable law and any rights provided by the App Store, you agree that the state and federal courts located in Florida will have jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and you consent to venue there. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the law of your place of residence.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice in the app or on this site. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
